MICROSOFT ONENOTE TEMPLATES FOR WINDOWS 10
After 2016, Microsoft changed tack and introduced the new ‘look and feel’ of what is now OneNote for Windows 10 and Microsoft 365. Every version of Office from 2003 onwards, up to and including Office 2016, included a version of OneNote. Microsoft OneNote is the Microsoft Office version of OneNote. I won’t be able to cover all the differences – that would probably take a book! But I will highlight those I consider important. I figured it might be easier to highlight some of the key things I like about each of the two versions separately. I continue to use OneNote for Windows 10 on one of my Windows laptops, mainly so I can continue to monitor the changes made in that version. In fact, I occasionally have both versions open on the one computer.
Right upfront, it is worth noting that both versions sync together so it is perfectly viable to switch between both versions. However, as Vince rightly pointed out, I did not really go into much detail in that previous post about why I prefer Microsoft OneNote 2016 over the Windows 10 version.
Microsoft OneNote 2016, which is now simply called Microsoft OneNote, is still my preferred version.

Now, the disadvantages Writing on a OneNote page is not as elegant as writing on word. Theres a gréat OneNote ádd-in called 0neTastic which has macrós for various tásks, of which wórd count is oné, and I usé that to kéep track of chaptér lengths. The cool thing is I can move chapters around easily, and all my research is a click away.
The template is configured with the font, table structure, and anything else I want for each chapter. Great examples of this are the visuals of the geography of my setting and battle tactics. The beauty of OneNote is I can draw on the pages, and some of my work requires plotting via images, and I put that in the Imagery page. You can see all the pages on the right side where I capture my research and thinking.
